Some properties have different policies regarding taxes, whether city, tourist or local. Our rates have always included any applicable hotel taxes but tourist and local taxes which generally include the use of local services in this case will have to be paid directly to the hotel. Sometimes this information is on the prepaid voucher. Any applicable city, tourist or other tax is collected by the hotel at the time of check out.(Most of European Countries; Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Italy, Morocco, USA, UAE, Japan)

Each reservation has its own cancellation policy, but according to the general policy a reservation can be cancelled before deadline without any penalty. That means the total paid amount will be returned to the credit card which was used to pay for the reservation. In case a cancellation of a reservation is made after the cancellation deadline, first night or full charges usually apply as a cancellation fee. Refund is made in 21 business days to the credit card that was used in the reservation. Deadline period is shown on payment page of the booking. Generally deadline of a reservation is 4-5 days before the check in date. Different policies might apply however according to hotels’ own cancellation policies. Refunds are not given from "non-refundable" reservations or when a booking is made after the cancellation deadline. Cancellation Policy has to be read carefully before making a reservation. <br> Cancellation by Client <br> All cancellations have to be made by the client through the website. This is done by logging in to the account the client has created before making a reservation. Cancellations by e-mail or phone are not accepted. During the cancellation process the client confirms the cancellation by clicking "pop-up" of cancellation policy. <br> Cancellation by GalaHotels.com <br> If a confirmed booking has to be cancelled due to an overbooking, pricing errors, or request of the third party supplier and/or hotel, GalaHotels.com will offer an alternative hotel of the same or higher standard in the same destination, or offer a full refund if preferred. GalaHotels.com will contact the Client prior to departure and check-in date to inform about the unavailability. In a case where GalaHotels.com cannot reach the client prior to departure or check-in-date, GalaHotels.com reserves the right to cancel the reservation and make a full refund.<br>

The client acknowledges that the availability of the facilities and features listed for each hotel are under the direct control of the hotel and as such GalaHotels.com cannot be held responsible if those facilities or features are not made available to the client during period of the Client's booking. If a facility or feature is of particular importance to the Client (in particular seasonal facilities such as outdoor swimming pools and air conditioning), then the Client should check with GALAHOTELS.COM or the hotel that this facility or feature will be available during the Client's dates of stay.

GalaHotels.com reserves the right to modify or change the terms and conditions of this agreement at any time without prior notice to you. Your use of this website after any modification of this agreement constitutes an acceptance of any such modification. These member rewards Terms and Conditions are effective as at the date specified above and may be amended by GalaHotels.com from time to time. The current Terms and Conditions are those available at this website. 1.3. Every Member is bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions.2. Definitions2.1. “Check-In Date” means the day on which a Member checks-in at the Hotel for a Confirmed Booking. 2.2. “Check-Out Date” means the day on which a Member checks-out at the Hotel for a Confirmed Booking. 2.3. "Confirmed Booking" means a Hotel booking completed via GalaHotels Website 2.4. “Hotel” means any type of accommodation available to be booked on the GalaHotels Website. 2.5. “Membership” means the membership program operating on the GalaHotels Website in accordance with these Membership Terms and Conditions. 2.6. “GalaHotels Website” means www.GalaHotels.com and any respective sub-sites. 2.7. “Member” means a person who has applied and been accepted to be a member of member rewards. 3. Membership 3.1. Membership to member Rewards is open to any individual. 3.2. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that their Membership Log-in and PIN are kept secure. 3.3. Each Member may only have one Membership Account. Membership in member rewards is not transferable. 3.4. GalaHotels reserves the right to terminate any Member from further participation in the member rewards Membership Program and revoke all member rewards accrued by the Member at any time without notice. 3.5. Members may leave member rewards at any time by submitting written notification. GalaHotels will cancel the relevant Membership Account and all accumulated member rewards in that Membership Account will immediately expire. Membership will terminate automatically upon the death of the Member and member rewards earned but not redeemed at the time of death, will be automatically forfeited.4. Member Responsibilities 4.1. Members must not: (a) act in any way which breaches these Membership Terms and Conditions; (b) abuse or misuse member rewards, any Member Rewards or services accorded to the Member as a result of Membership including by: (i) engaging in illegal or fraudulent activities; (ii) supplying or attempting to supply false or misleading information, or making a misrepresentation to GalaHotels; (iii) selling, assigning, transferring or acquiring, or offering to sell, assign, transfer or acquire any Member Rewards other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.5. Earning member rewards for Confirmed Bookings 5.1. Member rewards will be calculated on the Total Cost of Booking. Example of Confirmed Booking; Total Cost of Booking : $100 Paid by Members’ Credit Card : $100 Earned Member Rewards : $100 x 3% = 3,0 5.2. Each time a Confirmed Booking is made, any amount of member rewards will appear in the “member rewards” section of the Membership. 5.3. The Member Reward amount earned for each Confirmed Booking will be credited into the Membership Account one (1) day after the Check-Out Date for that Confirmed Booking. 5.4. In the event that the Member does not check-in to the Hotel or cancels & amends the Confirmed Booking, then no Member Rewards will be accrued for the "no show" or cancelled bookings 6. Expiry of member rewards 6.1. Except as otherwise provided in these member rewards Terms and Conditions, all member rewards will expire 6 months after the Check-Out Date of the Members’ each Confirmed 6.2. The 6 months period starts from the Check-Out Date of the Member's each Confirmed Booking. For example - A Member has 2 bookings with Check-Out Dates of August 15 / 2017 and November 15 / 2017. Each member rewards Reward has own expiry date August 15 earned member rewards will expire on 15 February 2018 and November 15 / 2017 will expire on 15 May 2018. 7. Changes to member rewards Terms and Conditions 7.1. GalaHotels may change the Member program rules or program benefits from time to time with or without prior notice. These changes may affect the value of member rewards already accumulated. 7.2. GalaHotels also reserves the right to terminate the program, or any part thereof, in any jurisdiction, at any time with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to accumulate member rewards or redeem member rewards. GalaHotels is not liable to Members in any way for any value or benefits Members may lose as a result of any changes made to the program. 7.3. It is the responsibility of Members to check the website regularly for any changes to the Terms and Conditions of GalaHotels Membership Program. Continued use of the program by the Member will be deemed as acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.
