The location of the hotel is excellent, only 3 bus stops from Stratford Broadway. When I arrived I was kept waiting at Reception for 15 minutes while the receptionist talked to a woman in a foreign language. I had to tell him twice that I wanted to get in my room and take a shower after a very hot and tiring day. The room was adequate, and quiet enough for me to sleep, but the chair had a loose joint, so could be dangerous. The breakfast arrangement was CHAOTIC. THERE WERE NO SIGNS TO INDICATE HOW TO ORDER A COOKED BREAKFAST. THE MILK JUG WAS PLACED IN THE CORNER, FAR FROM THE CEREAL DISPENSERS, AND CLOSE TO THE TOASTER, WHERE A CROWD AWAITED THEIR TOAST. THERE WAS NO SUPERVISION OF SUPPLIES OF ANYTHING, AND TWICE I HAD TO ASK FOR A KNIFE, WHILE THE SUPPLY OF ORANGE JUICE WAS NOT REPLENISHED, NOR THE OTHER JUICE, OF QUESTIONABLE ORIGIN. THE WHOLE ARRANGEMENT NEEDS OVERHAULING URGENTLY. The door to the downstairs toilet is broken, with handles missing, so impossible for a disabled person to operate.

First and most important, be very careful - they sell you hotel rooms but when you reach to the location you find out they can only offer you "lodge" rooms which are a kind of motel or hostel rooms. The entrance in these rooms is direct from the backyard, actually you wont stay in the hotel but in rooms in the backyard. They don't show this kind of rooms on the web site... We've had the bad luck to find a very unfriendly guy at the reception (Dorian or so) who has nothing to do with a front desk job... Others negative points: - bad smell inside the rooms which I think it comes from the carpet - dirty walls inside the rooms - dirty bed covers - they don't offer blankets - dirty toilet - defect shower (you can use it eventually) - very basic breakfast (I think they offer the cheapest/low quality food in town) Positive aspects: - position very close to the Stratford underground station with good connections to the center (20 minutes) - very close to the Stratford Smithfield shopping center (probably the biggest in London)

pleasant room, good bed, improved breakfast. lots of hot water, why no bath mats?
