This hotel is located in a peaceful residential area at the entrance of Madrid, about 10 km from Barajas airport. Thanks to its proximity to the Avenida de América underground and bus stops (only 5 minutes' walk away), the hotel is an ideal starting point from which to explore Madrid. A few of the sights which may be visited include the Prado museum and the Juan Carlos I. exhibition centre. A number of exclusive boutiques and stores are located in the hotel's near vicinity.
The concept of freedom realised, a gathering space that unites different cultures and ways of interpreting architecture and design, the hotel is a masterpiece that awakens guests' senses, a building that breaks the mould in its use of varying colours, materials and shapes. The imprint of uniqueness is guaranteed this hotel through its innovative design, with 19 of the best architects and design studios in the world (from 13 countries) having collaborated on the project. Established in 2005, this luxury hotel offers a total of 372 rooms spread over 13 floors, of which 12 are suites, 22 are junior suites and 30 are disability-friendly rooms. The air-conditioned hotel with a garden and a terrace welcomes guests in the lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a cloakroom, lift access and a currency exchange desk. Further facilities include a public Internet connection, a W-LAN access point and both breakfast and conference rooms. Dining options include a bar, a café and an à la carte restaurant. Room and laundry services can also be taken advantage of and there is additionally a launderette facility, as well as a car park and a garage for those arriving by car (charges apply).
Every floor reveals an individual concept. Using different materials, colours and shapes, the architects have created individual spaces in a combination of the best designs and avant-garde architecture. Standard fittings include an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a minibar, a safe, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV and wireless Internet access and air conditioning.

The hotel contracted 18 of the most renowned architects and designers, from 13 different nationalities to design rooms across the hotel's 12 floors. The top floor is the VIP floor where you can find 12 exclusive suites designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel, incorporating the best equipment and the most exclusive 5-star service.
The originality, luxury and innovation of the rooms are evident throughout and each floor features a different design concept. Upon arrival you will be shown pictures of the rooms, so you can choose which room you would prefer to stay in, availability permitting.

The facade is truly impressive creating a wonderful sight from afar. Decorated in a mixture of colours from red to orange to yellow to mauve and blue. There are many words specially imprinted on the exterior of the building in different languages

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre close to the Metro and bus station, with easy access to all the areas and zones of Madrid including the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen museums, the city’s most exclusive designer boutiques along Serrano Street and the fairground. The hotel enjoys a privileged location only 5 minutes from Paseo de La Castellana, Madrid’s commercial and business centre, and 10 minutes from Madrid Barajas airport and IFEMA, Madrid’s congress centre.
The hotel’s Lagrimas Negras restaurant was styled by the French designer Christian Liaigre and is run by the well-known chef José Luis Estevan. The cuisine is based on traditional Spanish dishes with an original, creative and stylish twist. The restaurant also offers an extensive list of over 750 wines, recommended by the wine steward Juan Antonio Herrero, who in 2006 was awarded with best Sommelier in Spain at Madrid Fusion, an international summit of gastronomy. Designed by the famous French architect Jean Nouvel, the Sky Night Bar is located on the top floor of the hotel and is the ideal spot for enjoying a drink whilst admiring stunning panoramic views over Madrid. On Fridays and Saturdays you can enjoy listening to live jazz music.
There is also the Marmo Bar which is located on the ground floor, featuring the Carrara marble bar created by celebrated furniture designer Mark Newson.
