Restaurant De Roode Leeuw dates back to 1911 and enjoys an outstanding reputation, renowned for its Dutch regional specialities. From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport:- Connexxion Shuttle Bus: get off at The Dam (opposite hotel). One-way - Train (station only 700 metres from the hotel): Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station (roughly 19 minutes travel time).By tram from Amsterdam Central Station:- Take tram 4, 9, 16, 24 or 25 and get off at tram stop Dam (only 1 minute).On foot from Amsterdam Central Station:- If you walk out of the Central Station, the first street you see in front of you is the Damrak.- Keep walking down the Damrak for about 700 metres and you will find the hotel on your right-hand side.
The bedrooms all vary in size due to the age of the building but they have all been renovated and are now in very good condition. The colour scheme is predominantly rust with cherrywood furniture and all rooms have air conditioning, LCD televisions and high speed internet. The bathrooms are also in good condition, and some have been renovated with the remainder due to be renovated over the course of the year. The renovated bathrooms are very modern with dark wooden flooring, with silver and pristine white finishing on the walls and in the showers.
The lobby is actually very small as the majority of the ground floor space is taken up by the cafe.
