Courtyard by Marriott Madrid Princesa

I was looking for a proper accomodation for a 4days city visit for a company of four, and at first I made a reservation at a very centrally located hostal ....but finally , attracted by the offered rate and the breakfast, I made a sudden decision to book this hotel, no cancellation . I read some unsatisfied comments only after, I was a bit worried until No doubt, some of those comments are partially true, like " a bit tired decoration" " stained floor carpet", simply because it is not a new structure at all . However , for a better balanced image , it is due to mention that. 1., reception was fast, proper, and even after that they were ready to answer, provide late check -out ( till 14:00, for free ) fot both of our rooms, and luggage room service 2., the reception area , somehow representing some minimal style design, refurbished , clean, roomy, functional . 3., The breakfast selection was pretty wide, quality chorizo, fruits , dyaries, cereals, baked beens, eggs, hams, etc some hotels such a stuff cost a good deal of money . Again , the personnel here was on the top.. 4., The rooms ( 716&720 we occupied) are really a bit tired and unfortunately the refrigeretors were not in order at all, and windows could not be opened ...but no sign of negligence from staff side can be seen ...daily making and changing of fine towels were OK. Room size OK for 2 , even a coach and table are there. 5 ., Some of the previous comment blamed the elevators , what I can not confirm.... 3 elavators are in order, they are pretty new , silent and fast!!! 6. There are two METRO stations are nearby on the line 3... Argüelles is some 75 mts from the side entrance , while the other is towards to center of the city some 400. Altogether: not a splendid 4* as it stands right now, however staff is tending to do their best, Let's give them trust and some time, sure it will be improving . Price/product /place ratios are OK even now.
